Chicago has three Joomla meetings a month for you:

Founded in 2008, JoomlaChicago is a registered Joomla!^® User Group, with over 600 members. Each meeting has its own format, topics, speakers and focus, conveniently timed and located to suit most everyone! Come one, come all!  See listing of upcoming meetings.

All skill levels are welcome, with sessions for new and pro users of Joomla! Content Management software. Sessions are led by Joomla! users who are volunteering their time to share their knowledge. Our focus is on showcasing local Joomla experts, with occasional guest speakers as well. Whether you're a designer, developer, writer, casual business user or an advanced technical user, JoomlaChicago is for you.

You're invited to come learn, ask questions, solve technical and business problems related to your Joomla-powered projects. Remember your business cards, as business networking is encouraged.  A wireless connection is available, laptop or mobile device is optional. RSVP required for an accurate meal count, but please don't be a no-show (bad karma).

Monthly LIVE meetings are what defines the JoomlaChicago Group, but between meetings, all are encouraged to participate on the JoomlaChicago Community. What's On the Agenda?
Each location has a dedicated core group of users that decide the agenda for each meeting. See listing of upcoming meetings. The meeting format for that location's meeting as well as the line up of topics and speakers. All are welcome to join any one (or more) of the core teams to help in the formation and success of the meetings. Just contact the location's main contact to get involved!

Who Should Attend?
Non-profit, commercial and solutions providers are all invited to be a part of JoomlaChicago. Just as the word "joomla" means "all together" in the Swahili language, this group is very much about coming together - both live and online - to learn, share and explore this exciting open source CMS software.

Meetings are relaxed but information-packed. Agendas are driven by members, and planned by a volunteer leadership team. Lunch is underwritten by sponsors, and all meetings are operated by JoomlaChicago's legal host organization, the CMS Association. 

JoomlaChicago is a founding organization for the CMS Expo, hosted annually by the CMS Association every spring to promote web design, development and business for Content professionals worldwide. Originally one day, with one Joomla track, it was called "Joomla Expo" in 2008. The conference has since grown to three days of Joomla training, and now includes tracks for design, development, business, apps & add-ons, and other CMSes.
